The resulting product offers the durability and strength of a commercial-grade aluminum cap paired with the sleek styling of a recreational fiberglass cap—that’s a tough combo to beat.
Structurally, the A.R.E. HD Series Truck Cap begins with the same polyester resin laminate fiberglass construction as the company’s iconic CX and MX series toppers. However, just below the surface lies its true strength. The HD Series features an internal aluminum skeleton that triples the weight capacity of the roof rack and side toolboxes. This additional support system grants the A.R.E. HD’s optional roof rack a 500-lbs. weight capacity and each side storage bin a 200-lbs. capacity.
The A.R.E. HD Series Truck Cap is available in cab-height CX and mid-height MX Series cap profiles, depending on your preferred interior volume and styling. A.R.E. finishes each HD Series Truck Cap in an automotive-grade paint finish, matched precisely to your truck’s factory color code. Alternatively, A.R.E. offers an optional UV-stable OTR textured exterior finish, offering additional durability and scratch resistance.
Aside from optional racks and tool boxes, A.R.E. offers the HD Series Truck Cap with various options, such as rear and side door designs. Choose between a conventional glass rear door with locking composite handles and F2 mitered half-slider screened side windows or premium aluminum doors with commercial-grade folding alloy T-handles.
